DBC Statement on COVID-19

March 15, 2022

As we reflect on the 2-year anniversary of the COVID-19 pandemic, our sovereign Lord has been faithful to protect His church as we have abided by the protocols set forth by the governing authorities and the CDC during these unprecedented times.

With the recent recommendations by the CDC related to our region being categorized as a “low transmission area”, a growing level of immunity, and the development of vaccines, medications, and treatments to address those who contract COVID-19, it is our intention at Decatur Bible Chapel to change our current mask protocol from “required” to “recommended” starting in the month of April.

We believe that the past 2-years have confirmed positive lessons related to personal health care and cleanliness and we will continue to promote the following:

  • Stay home if you are feeling sick or have a fever
  • Keep surfaces clean with regular maintenance
  • Wash hands regularly

As we focus on expanding ministry opportunities in 2022, we will continue making the wellbeing of our members and visitors a priority.
